.carnival of cultures

This weekend was Carnival of Cultures in Berlin. We decided to visit the parade but it was "slightly" disappointing.
Berlin got better happenings. So my mood wasn't the best and I took only a few digital snaps and one roll of apx25(which needs to be developed).

Yeah, very fancy ^^
Found a shop here were I will rent the Canon EF 50mm 1.0 L soon to test it.
Why rent a 1.0 if you got a 1.4 ?! Well, simply because I want to shoot at 1.0 for a day!

Wish you all a nice start of the week - I'm off to celebrate birthday.

If you got the chance to see Battles live in concert, just do it ! Great show and end of my birthday.

Nice shots man. I really like the light, that time of day when the sun is lower in the sky makes for great shadows. I really love narrow DOF shots. I want to get primes for my new 5D instead of a zoom for the great DOF and low light capability, the cost makes it prohibative at the moment :( A 50mm 1.0 would be very nice! Look forward to seeing your film scans.

Primes are awesome but zooms are kind of necessary in certain situations. I don't know how the canon ef 50mm 1.8 II performs on the 5d but for 100$ it might be worth a try.

die farbfotos sehen gut aus...mit digital b/w hab ich immer noch probleme...will mir nie so richtig gefallen.
wusst gar nicht dass es ein 50/1.0 von canon gibt...

The first and last pictures are the best
