Yesterday was labor day and since 1987 every year more or less intense riots broke out in Berlin Kreuzberg (borough of Berlin with lots of immigrants and punks).
I think since 2006 the local residents and the police organize the so called "Myfest" with lots of different concert stages around the place as a protest against the "traditional" riots.
As far as I can tell this year was probably the most peaceful 1st of May in Berlin since ages and around 20.000 people got a good party on the streets.
So I'd a nice sunny day with some friends.

This year the 1st was also
Ascension Day. It's a tradition for young and old men to get wasted while having a tour by cycle. Sascha joined us after this tour, so he was already drunk as hell.
I don't know the name of the band neither do I know which stage it actually was but the show kicked ass. Some nice Rockabilly action going on.

Lots of people drink lots of beer.
There's always the point the cops started to show up. This year it was pretty late... just after some punks spotted the Police President of Berlin and started to throw bottles and chairs against him.
As I said before, it was relative peaceful this year... instead in Hamburg there were large scale street battles between left-winged, right-winged groups and the police.
